  Timing
I am definitely going to take a course on time management... just as soon as I can work it into my schedule. ~Louis E. Boone
Today's Word
But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. ~Matthew 6:33
Today's Thought
The time is never perfect, yet the time is always right. If you're waiting for the perfect time to take action, a time when all conditions will be ideal, a time when your prospects for success are guaranteed, that time will never come. Circumstances are never perfect. There are always plenty of reasons not to act.
Yet, if anything is going to get done, it must be undertaken in less than perfect circumstances. When you accept that there will never be a perfect time, then the time is always right. Circumstances, whatever they are, will work for you, when you go to work in spite of them.
The unfavorable conditions, such as they are, are things that can be overcome. Right now is not perfect, but it's what you have to work with. You either use it, or you lose it forever. Now is not the perfect time, but it is the right time to begin reaching for your goals. Do it now, or regret it later.
Today's Prayer
Father In Heaven; Forgive me for looking at circumstances instead of You! Help me Today To Step Out In Faith. To Claim the Promise of Your Provision & Protection. I will Put Your Kingdome First and Trust You for the rest. In Jesus name. ~Amen.

REVELATION 15

Prelude to the Bowl Judgments

1Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.

2And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. 3They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:

"Great and marvelous are Your works,

Lord God Almighty!

Just and true are Your ways,

O King of the saints!

4Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?

For You alone are holy.

For all nations shall come and worship before You,

For Your judgments have been manifested."

5After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.

6And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.

7Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.

8The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

 GOD'S WORSHIPPERS
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
Juan 4:23-24

Thinking for Change from Pastor Mark- SELAH

  Know Your Audience
Those Who Ask The Questions Determine The Quality Of The Conversation.
Today's Word
The tongue of the wise utters knowledge rightly, but the mouth of the [self-confident] fool pours out folly. ~Proverbs 15:2
Today's Thought     by Donald Trump
I've heard stories about people who landed terrific jobs, not just because of their qualifications, but also because of common interests they had with the people hiring them. Granted, the applicant had to have the credentials to begin with, but lots of people do.
I once heard about a top law firm that hired a young lawyer because, in addition to excelling in law school, he held a master's degree in music. His music degree was the deciding factor because the partner who interviewed him also happened to be a musicologist and knew how much discipline it took to earn a music degree. The fact that they were both devoted to music provided them with a common bond that could help them work well together.
So know who you're talking to and where he or she is coming from. Whether you're involved in negotiations, war, public speaking, or merely socializing, learn about the person across from you and find out what he or she wants so that you can build a better relationship.
Frequently, people are so involved in trying to get what they want that they don't think of anyone other than themselves. They're so overcome with the brilliance of their idea that they ignore other people's needs and objectives and don't successfully connect.
At every level, relationships are built on listening, connections, common interests, and experiences. It is essential to be able to read your audience, whether that audience consists of a couple of people in your office or 40,000 in an amphitheater listening to you speak. The challenge is to find common ground.
For example, I was once involved in a very difficult negotiation and found myself disliking my adversary. My feelings placed a wall between us; my dislike made our dealings strained and unproductive. Our deal was on the verge of collapsing, when I discovered that my adversary was an avid golfer like myself. When we began our next session, I mentioned that I had heard he was a golfer. We started talking about golf, which eased the tension. When we resumed our business, we were more at ease, communicated more easily, and closed the deal.
Today's Prayer      Not by Donald Trump
Father In heaven, Help me to not be so consumed with my own agenda that I can hear no one else! Teach me to Listen to Others & to You! Remind me to consider others and remember there was a reason You gave me 2 ears and 1 mouth. ~Amen

Pastor Mark's SELAH for Friday

  The Art Of War 2
Daring ideas are like chessmen moved forward. They may be beaten, but they may start a winning game. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Today's Word
This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ~1 John 5:4
Today's Thought
Adversity is just the enemy's attempt to rob you of the next season of blessing in your life. If you're still under attack, do these three things:
1. Fight back! You'll be tempted to withdraw or become timid and passive, especially if you've been hurt. Don't! A wounded animal only attracts attack. Satan loves shy fearful types, but real fighters intimidate him. So be bold. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
2. Use your weapons! Paul said, "The weapons of our warfare are... mighty" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Prayer is a weapon, use it daily! Join hands with others. One can't multiply. Increase begins with two (Matthew 18:19). Be sure you know the intercessors in your life. The Word is also a weapon - use it. Listen, "Take... the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" (Ephesians 6:17). Find out what God says about your situation, and use it as a sword to cut your enemy's head off.
3. See the big picture! Nothing is ever as it first appears. Look beyond the moment. Something great is being formed in you. After adversity comes blessing and favor, so get your eyes back on the big picture. Paul says, "This short time of distress will result in God's richest blessing" (2 Corinthians 4:17).
Now go out and win!
Winning starts with beginning.
Today's Prayer
Father In Heaven; Make me strong Today! I do not want to lose or turn and run. I want to be a Hero for Your Kingdom. For my family. I will stand on Your Word and I will Pray and I will see the Victory You have planned for me and my family. In Jesus name. ~Amen.

Pastor Mark's SELAH for Thursday

  The Art Of War
Anything Good Is Hated By Everything Evil.
Today's Word
When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against Him. ~Isaiah 59:19
Today's Thought
Your biggest mistakes will usually happen during the first few moments of any attack. Surprise is the enemy's great strategy. If you're under attack today, here are four things you need to know.
First, don't panic! Listen, "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). That means He's present... He's in charge... and He has a solution! Stop and listen carefully to the inner voice of His Spirit (John 16:13). Time is your friend. Patience is the weapon that always forces motives to the surface.
Second, analyze it! Solomon said, "In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider... (Ecclesiastes 7:14). A crisis is merely concentrated information. Take the time to analyze it, and you'll benefit from it.
Third, seek worthy counsel! Listen, "Where no counsel is, the people fall" (Proverbs 11:14). Ignorance can be deadly. Don't risk it! Somebody knows something you need to know; something that can help you survive and even succeed in the most painful chapter of your life. Reach for them!
Fourth, expect God to move! Listen, "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him" (Isaiah 59:19). Adversity is just the enemy's reaction to your progress. Rejoice. The eyes of your Father are upon you. He's going to bring you through victoriously!
Today's Prayer
Father In Heaven; Help me to LEARN these lessons so that I can be a faithful solider in Your army. I know I can be, and will be Victorious through Christ. ~Amen.

Pastor Mark's SELAH for Wednesday

Others
What men and women need is encouragement. ... Instead of always harping on a man's faults, tell him of his virtues. Try to pull him out of his rut of bad habits. ~Eleanor H. Porter
Today'sWord
Love... always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. ~1 Corinthians 13:6-8
Today's Thought
When you meet somebody today who needs encouragement, go ahead and give it to them - for more people die of broken hearts than swelled heads. Recently, I heard about a little boy who was playing with his father. He said, "Come on dad, let's play catch. I'll throw, and you shout Great Job!" You may smile, but we tend to become what the most important people in our lives think of us. So think the best, believe the best, and express the best toward them - for your words will help to shape their destiny.
Remember, change takes time! Even though change seems simple, it's rarely ever easy. The only way we can break old habits is to form new ones - and that takes time; lots of it! You can't tell people something once and expect them to do it. They've got to hear it over and over again before they can make the adjustment.
Be persistent! Never give up trying to help them improve! Express gratitude for every inch of progress they make. Flying off the handle doesn't help one bit. The only way to get lasting results is through patience and persistence. Remember, "Love.. always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.. (1 Corinthians 13:7-8).
Ask God to give you that kind of love today.
Today's Prayer
Father In Heaven; Use me Today to be an Encouragement to someone. Help me to show patience and persistence with those people who You are allowing me to influence. Fill me with Your Love, because I know "That" never fails. ~Amen.

Pastor Mark's SELAH for Tuesday

  Who Said That?
Whenever you have truth it must be given with love, or the message and the messenger will be rejected. ~Gandhi
Today's Word
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]....And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:13,19
Today's Thought
Grand, sweeping statements can be hard to take.
We've all heard confident claims such as, "Got a problem? God has the answer!"
Many people can be "Turned Off" by Bold statements, if the person talking has seemed arrogant, or worse still, they know the person themselves has not "Lived" what they are so boldly proclaiming over others.
Whenever someone makes any kind of bold statement, we must consider the source. Who is making the claim? Does that person really understand my situation? If we are in the midst of a struggle, we may wonder, Is this a person who knows what pain feels like? Or we ask ourselves, Is this someone I can trust? So, when we read Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus," we have to stop and ask, Can I trust the writer? The answer, without a doubt, is yes.
Paul was not always a bubbly, happy-go-lucky communicator. He was bold and brash, spreading truth whenever and wherever it was necessary. He also knew what it meant to be in need. In fact, he wrote the book of Philippians from a jail cell, where he was most likely chained to a prison guard. More importantly, Paul knew where to get his needs met. Even in this dark situation, not knowing when or if he would ever be freed from his chains, Paul reveals something amazing: his contentment. He trusted that God's hand was at work, no matter how the outward circumstances appeared.
As you consider your present circumstances-your place in life and current needs-would you say you're content? Do you believe the Lord truly can and will meet your needs according to His glory?
Today's Prayer
Father In Heaven; Lead me to Confident people. Bring into my life people who have lived what they preach! I Believe YOU can meet ALL my needs! I place myself in Your Hands, so I will Rest in the contentment of Your power. In Jesus name. ~Amen.

Pastor Mark's SELAH - 11/16/09

  Expectation
The act of looking forward to a future event with at least some reason to believe the event will happen. Expectation differs from hope. Hope originates in desire, and may exist with little or no ground of belief that the desired event will arrive. Expectation is founded on some reasons which render the event probably. ~N. Webster
Today's Word
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. ~Hebrews 10:35
Today's Thought
People generally live up to your expectations of them. If you assume that they'll cheat you and expect them to take advantage of you, they probably will. If you expect the very best from them, that's often what you'll get.
It works the same way, to an even greater degree, with your expectations of yourself. When you expect the best from yourself, you'll get it.
High Achievement Always Takes Place In The Framework Of High Expectation.
Expectations play a key role in the way you see things. When you expect the best, you'll see opportunity in situations where others will see only problems. You'll have the confidence of knowing that you will never settle for less than the best.
And when you expect the best of yourself, you'll inspire others to do their best as well.
Expect to succeed in every situation. Never settle for less than the best from yourself. And do others a favor by expecting the best of them. What you expect will come to pass.
The seasons of your life will change every time you decide to use your Faith.
Today's Prayer
Father in heaven; Grant me the Faith to begin to Expect the Good & Not the Bad! Today I will become Positive that my Prospects will Push to become Probabilities. Today I will become Hope-Filled instead of Hope-Less. I will Anticipate Your Blessing. In Jesus Name. ~Amen.

Pastor Mark's SELAH for yesterday's Friday

  Confidence
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss
Today's Word
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7
Today's Thought
Paul was a confident man. During his earlier years, the apostle's positive attitude came from trusting in his credentials, namely, his background, education, and position. However, his encounter with the Lord caused him to realize they were of little worth. So what was the source of his new boldness?
Paul's relationship with Jesus formed the new foundation for his existence. (Acts 9:1-6) Regarding his former ways as over, he wholeheartedly embraced his new life in Christ. Paul not only recognized the inadequacy of everything he had previously relied upon- his knowledge, achievement, and authority; he also relinquished any notion of living independently of the Lord. The apostle was a man of action, who lived his life through total reliance upon God. (Galatians 2:20)
Paul's unwavering trust in God's faithfulness also played a key role. He believed God when He promised to strengthen and equip him; to guide him in every situation; to meet all his needs; and never to leave him. In facing trials, Paul experienced the power of the Holy Spirit flowing in and through him. Because he took the Lord at His word, he could meet adversity with boldness. His confidence was not in himself but in God's presence, provision, and power; therefore, it remained strong.
Do you see why we can be confident followers of Christ? It isn't who we are, what we believe about ourselves, or what strengths and abilities we have that matter. Developing a wholehearted trust and reliance on Jesus is what brings about confidence. How much do you trust Him?
Today's Prayer
Father In Heaven; Forgive me when I waiver. Touch my life with mental and spiritual Confidence! I choose to believe You and Your Word for my Life, and that Assurance is more than Insurance. I will be confident Through Christ. ~Amen.

Pastor Mark's SELAH for Wednesday

HAPPY VETERAN's DAY to all our Soldiers!  Thank you!

"God Bless America"
The men who have guided the destiny of the United States have found the strength for their tasks by going to their knees. This private unity of public men and their God is an enduring source of reassurance for the people of America. ~Lyndon B. Johnson
Today's Word
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. ~2 Chronicles 7:14
Today's Thought
In 1918, Irving Berlin wrote "God Bless America", a song that has touched millions of lives for nearly a century. But some Americans take the lyrics of that masterpiece for granted.
In 1938, Berlin slightly rewrote the lyrics to reflect the tone of the country as war threatened Europe. He created an instant sensation. "God Bless America" was soon heard from shore to shore in churches, town squares, and social gatherings. The song received tremendous air time on the radio. The American people feared the coming war and embraced this song as a unified prayer for peace and protection.
The lyrics pierced the heart of the culture. Millions of Americans prayerfully sang:
God bless America, land that I love.
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies

To the oceans white with foam

God bless America, my home sweet home.
In the midst of today's wars, it's a tragedy that we've lost touch with this song of faith. Over the past few decades, we've shifted away from a national faith in God toward a sometimes self-important, self-centered, and self-empowered lack of faith.
Few Christians would deny that our country is in moral decline. As the nation has moved away from biblical principles, we have seen an increase in divorce, drug abuse, suicide, depression, teen pregnancy, and selfishness. Ethical compromise and greed have resulted in financial instability. The right to share our faith, speak out on moral issues, and even attend church freely could one day be threatened.
Do you love this country and the independence it provides for us? Then I challenge you to kneel before the Lord and cry out to Him on behalf of the United States. Ask the Lord to awaken American spiritually and call her to repentance. If we do that, He has promised to hear from heaven and heal our land
As you cry out to the Lord today, can we challenge you to rediscover "God Bless America." Lift it up to God in prayer. Speak the words slowly. Let each phrase touch your heart as you make this petition to the King of all nations.
Remember to also lift up all of our service men and women, pray for safety, and a soon return Home. Pray that God will be a shield and comfort to their families that wait for the return of these New American Heroes of Freedom!
God Bless America...........
